Cycle Action Whakatane is on Facebook, giving us the chance to korero, and a chance to grow the cycling community. 

Whakatane Bike Park also has an active Facebook page (where you are more likely to korero with CAW members - the sporty ones!).  Please support this group - just one of the developing initiatives from our Feb 2011 Workshop.

Arising from discussions at Council during Bike Wise month 2010, there was the suggestion of establishing a Trust to work at gaining funding and be the 'driver' for improving and gaining necessary support ...made up of locals with an interest and those from organisations who are key in being involved in effecting greater uptake of cycling.
