Green Screening FILMS START at 7pm

Tue 3rd Feb "RETURN OF THE SCORCHER" This half-hour documentary looks at bike culture and bike lifestyles around the world with beautiful and inspiring scenes of bike use filmed in China, The Netherlands, Denmark, and the U.S.  Also screening a 12 minute film made by the Nelson Cycling Advocacy Group, showing the excellent cycle network infrastructure achieved with the support of the Nelson City Council ( http://www.nelsoncitycouncil.co.nz/cycle-strategy/ )

Tue 10th Feb "WE ARE TRAFFIC" chronicles the history and development of the "Critical Mass" bicycle movement. With traffic congestion, pollution, and road rage on the rise, growing numbers around the world are advocating for transportation alternatives, and Critical Mass is at the cutting edge of this mindset.

 

 

 

Tue 17th Feb "KLUNKERZ" The pioneer Mountain Bikers scavenged from dumpsters and junkyards, sometimes adapting motorcycle parts to suit their needs. Pou Whakaaro

BUILD IT!  Pou Whakaaro are accepting old bikes, bike parts and bike helmets for their re-cycling bikes workshops starting on Jan 20th.  Bike etc can be collected on Tuesday mornings.   Contact Debbie 07 308 8170  for details.
