have your say - april 2009

April's Green Screening is an exciting event where we can network, brainstorm and learn how to bring about those changes our community needs to become more sustainable.

• Tuesday 7th of April

• 7-9 pm

• Eastbay REAP, 21 Pyne Street, Whakatane

• $2 koha for cuppa and snack.

An informal evening looking at how best to have your say on our council’s future plans.  A good chance for people to share/spark ideas and learn about the protocol of sharing these through the submission process.

• 7.00 pm  - Kerry Gosling, Education team leader from Environment Bay of Plenty & Chandra Quarmby, Policy Manager From, Whakatane District Council will explain the different governance roles of their councils  & why fill out a submission.
• 7.15pm - Chandra will explain the submission process & how to fill out a submission well.
• 7.45pm  - We will split into groups to share ideas under the different areas of the plan.
• 8.45pm  -   Sharing of ideas.
