EVERY VOICE COUNTS members were supporting Grey Power in their march last week. It was great to see how much pubicity they gained - photo left from the New Zealand Herald last Friday! Full report. They are having a follow up meeting at St George's Church Domain Road Wed 17 June at 9.30 am and you are all invited. They will be looking to see what other action might be useful now, to keep the pressure on the Council. More before... and more after.....
CAW (Cycle Action Whakatane) have been invited to speak to their (many) submissions at Council on Wednesday 17th June at 4.35pm. We are meeting to discuss material relevent to our presentation at Sport BOP Tuesday at 5.15pm. All welcome to planning meeting or to attend hearing in support of Cycling in Whaktane.

GREENDRINKS - Wednesday 15th July The Sustainable Business Network - BOP and the Eastern Bay Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to bring GreenDrinks to Whakatane. Eastern Bay GreenDrinks is open to anyone to attend, so come along and bring a friend! The purpose of GreenDrinks is to bring like-minded people together to share ideas, discuss and debate sustainability issues and topics. VENUE Global, Whakatane, 5pm – 7pm (nibbles provided).
