CYCLE ACTION WHAKATANE will be out in force for Bike Wise Month, with the following events planned.  All bike rides will begin with a briefing on safety, a helmet and bike check, and raising awareness of the potential hazards of the route. All children under 10 MUST be accompanied by a caregiver/parent. Bring a drink or two, especially if it is hot! Cancelled if wet.

If you do not have a bike, and are wondering whether to give it a go, or perhaps you are a visitor and want to join in, consider hiring a bike from Whale Island Tours on the Strand.

HERITAGE CYCLE RIDE. Meet 10am by the Waka shelter on Mataatua Reserve. Come along and be amazed by our town's rich history & culture.

Sat 13th Feb 10am

OHOPE BEACH BIKE RIDE. Meet 10am at the Mahy Reserve. This is a great ride for all the Family! From Mahy Reserve to Harbour Road Playground and back.

Sat 20th Feb 10am

BERRY RIDE to Julian's. Meet 10am on the Warren Cole pathway by the Rose Garden. A fun rural ride to Julian’s Berry Farm. Explore our rural community the back road way!

Fri 26th Feb 6pm

URBAN ADVENTURE revisited! Meet 6pm at the Skate Park "and be prepared for some rough urban riding!"
