BIKE WISE 2012

HEAPS going on here, so check out the Bay of Plenty CALENDARS OOPS - 2011 Calendars below - making enquiries about this year, but no response yet. Links will be updated, when I can get the appropriate ones.
CYCLE ACTION WHAKATANE are working on forming a trust. This will enable us to apply for funding (initially for the Whakatane Bike Park
project). If you would like to help in this process, please contact
Pip - pip@wonacott.com or Richard - tricky_hamer@hotmail.com. On-line
discussion welcomed on our facebook page HERE....
Here's a great opinion piece on cycling from the Dominion Post: Time to move beyond bickering over bikes, written by Patrick Morgan of CAN, the national Cycling Advocates Network. Some cycling advocacy groups are using Bike Wise month as an opportunity to fundraise for CAN. Donations enable CAN to be more effective. Here's info on how to donate.

GREEN SCREENING will be back during Sea Week, on Monday March 5th, as I'm fairly busy with Bike Wise this month, but if you wanted to borrow a DVD about CYCLING, we have four excellent titles:
- VEER
- Klunkers
- Beauty and the Bike
- We are Traffic/Return of the Scorcher
